AnyThere.us EveryThere.us Popby.info

I was driving along the interstate, state to state, past the same junk food and hotel signs who pay to have their stuff sold by the sides of the highway, pay to have exits and entrances where they are, in the middle of nowhere, when I thought that maybe those places were  somewhere to someone.  Maybe you go to the green parts of the country to get away from people, to be in the pretty, but then again, maybe the folks in the city are in cities because there are so few ways to make a living out on or just off the asphalt strips that criss-cross the country.  Thinking it might be great to find some people to jam with but not knowing where musicians were located, even in the towns and cities I was visiting, it occurred to me that an app which allowed me to find jam sessions might be nice.  There was already DieJammin.com that was supposed to be listing all active jam sessions, — not ones from last year, where the bar had closed and all that was left was a falling down sign.–but what about other things one might do by the side of the highway to stretch or relax for an hour.  What if there was someone awake who is an expert on quilting who would welcome me in to quilt for a while to get my muscles uncramped from driving so long?  Security could be addressed in similar ways to other share sites.

Wow!  It could be called Anythere.us  or Everythere.us or maybe best, popby.info  so that anywhere there was a there there you could know about it or let folks know about it by means of this app.  Let’s say you have better sandwiches or a better bed and breakfast with a room open that night, or a quilting class or just good company or a good library of books to discuss or whatever there could be one app that kept track of your location and connected with all the folks and activities in the area.  How wonderful would that be?

I’d like to set up a test market for this concept here in Houston.    Any help out there?  Anyone inspired to do something like this?
